I’ve come to learn through one of my good friends, who works at the college I graduated from, that their new web security appliance not only filters content like torrents and illegal downloads but it is now filtering all Facebook advertisements. I know that alot of income that comes from those of us who advertise on Facebook comes from individuals in schools, colleges, and universities across the country. College students can be some of the most profitable traffic when it comes to Facebook if you angle it right. So now in the midst of Facebook doing away with the “Free” offers you see on the adbar mentioning free ipads, iphones, macbooks, etc some colleges are looking to blocking this content. Now the question is if the user clicks on the ad and is redirected to a page with the message below like my my alma mater do you get charged to the click? Something to think about.
The website or link you are trying to access contains malware or a virus and has been blocked.
