Plenty Of Fish and the relationships outside of relationships…..

For several years now I’ve known Sheena, Kim, and Ben over at plenty of fish and this trio I’ve come to know over the years had been some of the best times I’ve had at conferences when it involved any number from this trifecta. Sheena and Kim will always hold a special place in my heart, with Ben not far behind (no homo) and the relationship I hold with each one of them continually grow on a daily basis. I’ve been advertising with POF for the good part of over 2 years on and off and seeing one or the other at a conference always puts a smile on my face.

For a while now I’ve always tried to get a shirt in my size at a conference to sport at conferences but the timing was never right, or the printers messed up, and there were unfortunate delays. I love POF’s brand, its simple and clean, it doesn’t vary, and its straight to the point. As many of you know already who have met me or have seen me I’m not a small individual by any means, infact that’s why I’ve been and am called HeavyT.  Today I recieved a package in the mail from Sheena (Hi Luv <3) and in it contained 2 personal custom made shirts in my size along with an awesome hand written card from Sheena herself.

In today’s industry companies never really look at how much their brand is really worth and care only about what the cheapest thing is that we can give away to make customers, advertisers, consumers, remember us. I’ve never had a company like POF go out of their way to try and get me a custom shirt in my size. Alot of the conferences most companies usually go up to 2x at the most, some not even that high I’ve seen a couple times. But POF doesn’t care what it costs, or how much it costs to get there, (and I’ve said this in the past) its about the personal relationships you build that can make all the difference.

There have been times when Sheens, Kim, or Ben and I have just sat at a conference and talked about anything other than business. It becomes such a constant thing that taking a break and just relaxing for 15 minutes at a shareasale party, or chilling in the casino waiting to check out the day after a conference, or even just running into eachother on the conference floor between meetings, is more than welcomed with open arms.

It will never cease to amaze me how many people I know in this industry and how many know me. Some times I don’t realize it but everyone I meet and talk to I try and make time for, and the relationships I make along the way and people I meet I’m thankful for. Sheena Kim and Ben are real people doing what they love in this business. SOme might call them friends but I consider them more than that. If you are at a conference and see them and haven’t advertised with POF at http://ads.pof.com I highly suggest you hit one up and start talking to them you never know whats possible with POF until you try.
