Adtech NYC 2011 and the Heavyt recap

So Again as some of you know who read my blog I drove up to NYC on monday afternoon and got in around 5pm. Its such a nice drive through Pennsylvania with the leaves changing all along 80 east. Once I got into town I met up with a couple super affs and we went out to get something to eat at a sports bar cause one of them wanted to watch the eagles play the bears. Afterwards we headed over to the London to meet up with one of the private networks I run with till the wee hours of the morning and headed back to the hotel to get some rest from driving all day.

The next day I got up and was working on some things before I headed over to the Direct Response party that Rich invited me to over at Kiss and Fly. Over there I met up with Ian Fernando and said hi to the www.sitescout.com guys. Funny stories were exchanged about how I posted a screen shot of one of my campaigns that I ran on there that had a 1000% roi and how people constantly hit them up about it lol. I also met some of the girls from www.clickbooth.com who reminded me about the party they were having wed night and to pick up my vip bands.

After mingling for a bit I headed over with Ian to the Xrev Media Dinner. I want to thank Kris and the team over there for not only putting together dinner but also sponsoring the ase 2011 aff dinner a couple months ago. Afterwards I headed over to the hudson bar to hand with the whole megaupload team who got a table so we couple all mingle. I had a nice time meeting everyone including my am over the Arrika. Afterwards they headed out to soem club but I decided not it go as it was really late and we shutdownt he hudson bar and i wanted to get up early to hit the show floor without being hungover.

On wednesday I hit the floor as early as I could trying to make it to appointments and checking out the booths. Between meetings and the booths and stopping and talking to people I only actually made it half way through the floor. It was def a hectic day. Later on I met up with soem of my friends and buddies over at China Grill. Max from what runs where took all of out to dinner and we had a great time talking about their ad spy service and what the future holds for the company. I’d try them out if you aren’t using them, I use them, and they have a 1 dollar 7 day trial going on right now. I’ve used their service since it first started 2 years ago and trust me it was hella expensive compared to how much you pay now.

After the dinner we all headed over to terminal 5 for the cpaway party, my boy darren hooked me up with vip passes and bands as usual. After I was there for a bit a couple of us decided to head on over to the clickbooth party and made an appearance for a little bit. While there I hung out with my girl Brittany who is an awesome person if you met her and such a sweetheart. She’s always taken care of me when it came to anything and everything over at cb. She’s my goto girl on eveything. While at the party they had some gogo dancers strutting their stuff and a fire eater which was pretty cool. We decided to cut out and head back to the Cpaway party at terminal 5 and caught Mike Posner coming on singing one of his hits.

After hanging out till after naughty by nature came on I went outside with some friends and ran into the team from Has Offers and we all got into a cab to headed over to the clickbooth party. Along the way to the clickbooth party I met another Morgan who happens to work at Has Offers who was very nice. All of us partied at Amnesia until the clickbooth party was shut down in the wee hours of the morning.

The next day I wanted to get everything done before I the conference was over since I actually only made it half way the day before. I ended the show with a meeting with Ted and Donna from Engage BDR and we decided to go out to eat before they flew back to LA. We ended up eating at Babbo which is Mario Batali’s place and is one of the hottest if not the hottest place to eat right now in NYC, the supposed wait time is a month out for reservations. After my friend Matt Wasserman and I headed over to the standard and chilled with soem rubicon people in the boom boom room before calling it quits for the night.

The next day my cousin Daniel came into town and hung with me and a couple affs, went to chinatown for food and then went back to the hotel to get ready to go out that night. We decided to get a table at kiss and fly and partied into the night before we headed back to the hotel. I ended up staying till sunday and then driving back home after dropping some affs friends off at the airport so they could fly to brazil.

Overall this show was the most productive show I ever had. This week I’m gonna have to do alot of catch up trying to tie all the loose ends I have from the meetings and talking to the booths at the show. I’m still amazed at all the new faces and up and coming affs I see at the shows. I met alot of new people this show and I hope to see them in Vegas in Jan.
