Today was the first day of the conference. I got over to the show a little late and picked up my badges and headed over to the entrance where I ran into ted and the crew from engage bdr. It was around 1:30 and we all were a little hungry so we decided to head to the forum shops to grab lunch at spago. Spago was a good restaurant, there were some problem with one or two chicken parms being raw in the middle and appetizers coming out after we got our entrees. Other than that we had a productive lunch talking about a couple things related to business.
After lunch we headed back over to the show after thanking ted and the crew for lunch. I ran into none other than Brittany Bankston who I miss very much and I’m glad to see back in the market space after a brief hiatus. I headed over to a corner of the floor and methodically traveled up and down each isle looking at the new people there this year and the ones of asw past. I had a couple booth meeting scheduled and was able to take care of those before heading off to sushi roku for dk’s mini think-tank.
We headed over to sushi roku and the think tank was pretty cool. I love dk’s events he throws its such a metting of super affs and power players in the space. Each of us had to write down on a badge our biggest goal for 2012 and our biggest obstacle for 2012. It was nice meeting everyone there and I did alot of networking as usual at events like this it was sure not to dissapoint when it comes to thing dk puts together.
After the think tank we had to quickly rush back over to the casino from the forum shops to meet Vito and cpatank for a private dinner at standard steak house he put together. The dinner was a nice mix of people and I whole heartily thank vito and the team for inviting me to the dinner. Vito gets much respect in this space and still not many know him or they caliber of person he is. I have had nothing but positive things to say about him his network and his integrity.
After dinner the aff ball was just starting and I headed over to the rio. I bought two tables out right next to the stage thanks to my man darren aka dmoney. I ende dup getting 4 bottles and invited about 30 of my friends in the industry to hang at my tables. The venue was awesome and since I was a sponsor my logo was flying high all over the logo walls. After about 11:30 nelly came on and killed it until he shut the place down. I had such a good time and I was glad I was able to share the fun with my friends I have in the business. The night couldn’t have ended on a better note.
