How I prepare for a conference, and what I do that might help you.

Apr 10, 2011

One of the things people might have not done is attend a conference before. If you have the time and money I highly suggest it, especially if its an ASW or ASE. Usually the night before I pack my laptop, charging cords and misc cords, grab my business cards, and print out an iternary of my flights car rentals etc and stick it in the bag with me. If its adtech I grab my envelope with my passes in it and stuff it into my bag as well. When packing I usually pack all my dress shirts in bags already pressed and hung on hangers so all I gotta do is take them out and throw them in the closet in the room. This not only keeps the collars fresh and starched but also doesn’t wrinkle everything too much. As far as shoes my dress shoes stay in my bag and I travel with a pair of slip on rubber sole slippers. This makes it easy for security checks you just kick them off and kick them back on. If you ever seen the movie up in the air with george clooney the scene where he describes the quickest way to get through security yeah thats me. I always plan ahead, think wha ti need to take out, how many bins I need etc. For traveling on the plane I usually charge my ipod the night before and make sure I have a fresh battery in my Bose qc15 headphones. For reading material I usually grab the newest copy of Robb Report, if you don’t read it grab a copy if you can find it its the official magazine of internet marketers, affiliate marketers and ballers alike. For instance did you know the robb report did a 4 page spread on a suite in cesars palace that is 30k a night? Trust me it puts the playboy suite at the palms to shame. Anyway as far as flying I usually have a long day of traveling because of where I’m at and where I live, its usually atleast 2 connections but isn’t surprising that today will be 3. Today I’m traveling form IPT to...

How I made 4 figures with A4d, POF, and car insurance leads.

How I made 4 figures with A4d, POF, and car insurance leads.

Apr 8, 2011

Well I think its time to out another one of my POF campaigns I ran over a year ago. I was running 2insure4less on A4d. I’ve been with jason at a4d since the beginning and haven’t looked back. You can count the number of honest networks on your hand and this is def the first one. Most networks always say they always pay but very few actually live up to the claim. For this campaign I’m targeting all 50 states and had to create a campaign for each state. I first went and collected pictures of drivers license’s from all 50 states. I then had to create a campaign for each one with the ad text located in the screen shots. This was pretty exhaustive and took a while to do as I had to replicate it 50 times. My targeting was this. Usa Only Males and Females ie and firefox users only users had a car login count under 100 state was whatever state I was targetting. Overall the campaign went very well, I ran it for a couple weeks and grossed over 20k with a spend a little over 12k. You want to know the state I got the most leads in? Believe it or not...

Day 1 of AdTech NYC 2010

Day 1 of AdTech NYC 2010

Nov 6, 2010

Tuesday BoFu drove up from MD to my house while I packed and got a haircut in preparation for AdTech NYC 2010. I got my things together and we all hopped into the escalade and gassed up the car and hit the road. The trip was pretty decent and because we left at about 4:30pm our drive was about 4.5 hours. The traffic going into the city and out of the city was pretty much non existent so it made the ride nice. I again decided to drive up to nyc as I mostly drive I80 the majority until we hit Jersey Delaware and then NYC. We got to our Hotel on w 26th around 9pm and all got showers in preparation for the Moss Networks La Pomme VIP Mix+Mingle Venue. We got there and the party was bumping and I got to meet some old friends and catch up on affiliate life with them. The party was awesome and I’d like to thank all the sponsors for throwing something the night before, we all had a great time. Towards the end of the party we left and hit up the apple store to check out the new macbook air. It wasn’t a bad product but I still prefer my macbook pro, there are some plusses and minuses but I won’t go into that here lol. We all headed over to the halal cart next to the Hilton to grab some food and then took it back to the hotel to get an early start on the show. My boy BoFU had to man the C2M Booth for his new job so we hit the sack for the coming...

I’m in New York at the Four Seasons for a couple days.

I’m in New York at the Four Seasons for a couple days.

Jun 8, 2010

I forgot how much I missed this town. With ASE in Aug and ADTech in Nov I can’t wait to come to NYC again. I miss this city its so alive. Walking the streets at night and seeing how alive everything is even after the sun goes down reminds me of how this industry has its lulls where it seems its coming to an end and where things begin and pick back up again. I’m town for a couple days on business taking care of some stuff and I’m staying at the Four Seasons. This hotel is pretty nice, everyone is very nice and professional. I ended up driving up here in the escalade to take care of some things and go for a nice drive. Since I’ve always flown to the big apple I never realized how much having a car in this city costs. Its 60$ a night here just for your car. I guess thats the price you pay living in a city like this with little parking. Well the room I got was really nice, and its got a nice balcony outside. I love this city..Pics are below....

As a fellow corvette owner I have found proof that money cannot buy taste.

As a fellow corvette owner I have found proof that money cannot buy taste.

Apr 5, 2010

There was a post on a forum that I frequent. I from a very young age have loved corvettes. I haven’t been obsessed with them but it was one of those cars that I told myself that I would own. In the month of Nov 2008 I did exactly that and bought a corvette. Now my corvette is matte black vinyl wrapped. I have some mods done to it but its clean and it is different. I don’t mind being different but as long as its clean. When I go to car shows I either get the “I like it” from the younger generation or the “I hate it” which usually comes from the older corvette crowds. Most of the people in my area who drive corvettes are older gentleman who, in their mind, I can understand why they feel that way.  Most of the corvette guys at car shows that I attend are purists and never mod their car at all. But without further ado here is the proof that money can’t buy taste. Now the worst part about this “dragon” car as it has come to be called out of the two cars below is its got a procharger on it, as in its supercharged. This is my corvette       This is the “dragon”     And I don’t know what to call this  ...
