Stackthatmoney forums after the merge *MUST READ*

Jun 10, 2011

So its been about a month since I last reported about the stack the money forums located here http://www.stackthatmoney.com/forum and I’ve got very good news. Since then the forums have merged with Affexpert Tools, and Mr. Green bringing together a team of not only industry veterans but moderators including myself which answer and offer campaign advice on a daily basis. I literally cannot stop checking this forum to see whats new that people are posting, what new campaigns people are trying, and updates on case studies from media buying to social and ppc. For this time only they are offering access to the forums at a discount before it goes up again and there are limited spots available. So many industry people are on the forums now its uncanny. If you have been looking at getting into affiliate marketing or don’t know where to start, for the amount of money just to access this forum, this is worth every penny. Included with the forum you get the Affexpert tools, Guides from Besmir (a PPV expert) and guides from Mr. Green on Media Buys & POF. You also get a POF spy tool, Mr. Greens POF Ad Uploader, tons of discounts on 3rd party software and some new tools Besmir and Stackman have been working on which you can’t find anywhere else unless you’ve coded them yourself. Some of the info that is given away in here along with the discounts on services such as servers, spy tools, landers, etc pays for the membership itself. So head on over to http://stackthatmoney.com/newforum/1/ and sign up. If you still have doubts the list of mods and admins located on the forum speak for themselves. Lunch is on me, thanks for the hard work and keep it up.

Lunch is on me, thanks for the hard work and keep it up.

So one of the companies I’ve been doing some work with had been doing a really good job. Anyone that has dealt with me knows I expect the best and nothing less. I can be a little demanding and I can be cocky as well on a daily basis. If you are offering a service I expect the very best, and I better see it. One thing is this never goes unnoticed by me. This company has been doing a great job, always gets back to me promptly, and in addition I can reach my reps after hours on their cell phones. This as I’ve discussed in previous posts builds a relationship between you and the individuals representing the company. These are the relationships I want to build upon and grow, these are the relationships I want to keep. So in appreciation I decided to buy the whole team that goes anywhere near my account lunch. Granted they live in another state and I might never get to see them, but they know me now, they understand I appreciate what they are doing, and I want them to continue to do a good job. This is a gesture of gratitude for their work and I highly appreciate everything they did for me and will continue to do for me. I didn’t have to do it but I wanted to. The response I got from my rep couldn’t have shown me any more thanks for what I did this april fools afternoon. The pizza party went off without a hitch.  At various times throughout the luncheon, statements could be heard across the office, “EDK is awesome!” and “Blow up that EDK volume!”  30 minutes and 2 belt notches later I looked around and saw satisfied buyers proving the age old theory that a well-fed publisher rep is a happy publisher rep.  Kudos to you sir and thank you for thinking of the people who work hard every day with little praise. No, thank...

Plenty Of Fish and the relationships outside of relationships…..

Plenty Of Fish and the relationships outside of relationships…..

Mar 26, 2011

For several years now I’ve known Sheena, Kim, and Ben over at plenty of fish and this trio I’ve come to know over the years had been some of the best times I’ve had at conferences when it involved any number from this trifecta. Sheena and Kim will always hold a special place in my heart, with Ben not far behind (no homo) and the relationship I hold with each one of them continually grow on a daily basis. I’ve been advertising with POF for the good part of over 2 years on and off and seeing one or the other at a conference always puts a smile on my face. For a while now I’ve always tried to get a shirt in my size at a conference to sport at conferences but the timing was never right, or the printers messed up, and there were unfortunate delays. I love POF’s brand, its simple and clean, it doesn’t vary, and its straight to the point. As many of you know already who have met me or have seen me I’m not a small individual by any means, infact that’s why I’ve been and am called HeavyT.  Today I recieved a package in the mail from Sheena (Hi Luv <3) and in it contained 2 personal custom made shirts in my size along with an awesome hand written card from Sheena herself. In today’s industry companies never really look at how much their brand is really worth and care only about what the cheapest thing is that we can give away to make customers, advertisers, consumers, remember us. I’ve never had a company like POF go out of their way to try and get me a custom shirt in my size. Alot of the conferences most companies usually go up to 2x at the most, some not even that high I’ve seen a couple times. But POF doesn’t care what it costs, or how much it costs to get there, (and I’ve said this in the past) its about the personal relationships you build that can make all the difference. There have been times when Sheens, Kim, or Ben and I have just sat at...

The Shoemoney system and why I canceled within 15 days of signing up.

The Shoemoney system and why I canceled within 15 days of signing up.

Feb 17, 2010

Now this isn’t a rag post on Jeremy and the Shoemoney system. I’ve met Shoemoney and hung out with him a couple times at various parties in vegas and nyc. He mentioned to me he was doing a rebill and that the Shoemoney system would be going live soon. I figured why the hell not its only a couple hundred dollars a month lets see what its all about. Well being a well versed affiliate marketer I decided to go ahead anyway. 15 days into the program I canceled and got a refund. The Shoemoney system is really for beginners looking to get into affiliate marketing. It targets those not versed in all aspects of affiliate marketing and the networks that are in our industry that some of us deal with on a daily basis. The videos and web casts were great but the info I want or that would be a benefit to marketers such as myself wouldn’t be available or made available until later in the course and waiting that long while paying a couple hundred every month wouldn’t be cost effective. If you are looking to start in affiliate marketing and need a step by step guide I reccomend the Shoemoney system but for someone who is already in the industry it isn’t worth spending the money on. Jeremy on the other hand has created a good product and it covers all bases as a...

Funny how money changes some people. How hiring friends can sometimes ruin friendships.

Funny how money changes some people. How hiring friends can sometimes ruin friendships.

Feb 5, 2010

A recent friend of mine just fired an employee, who happened to be his friend. Sometimes its hard walking a fine line of that boss and friend relationship especially if you have had a couple years of friendship between your new employee and yourself. This particular employee was caught stealing from a spare change container but the container contained dollar and two dollar coins. Over the course of several weeks this new employee was stealing and was finally caught on camera. Its estimated that he took over 200 dollars over that time period. I myself have helped out friends in need by having them do stuff for me when needed or loaning them money but I have never actually hired any. Friendships are far and few in this business and making friendships outside our affiliate marketing social circles considering what we do. Not many people can understand our jobs and the amount of mental work we do on a daily basis. Affiliate marketing is never a 9-5 job since money never sleeps. In the grand scheme of things I’d rather help a friend than hire one. Money changes people and I’ve seen it too many times. I’ve always been humble and down to earth and money hasn’t changed me but my tastes have. In conclusion before you consider hiring a friend and letting them step into the world you know as affiliate marketing take a step back and ask yourself would money change them and is it a friendship you’d risk...
