$189,000.00 tab at Tryst? Who live like dis?

May 13, 2011

So I was recently checking my twitter and came across a tweet with this receipt in it. The receipt in question appears to be a bill form tryst night club in vegas. Now looking at this receipt it says its from May 5th of this month but the time stamp on it is before midnight. This kinda brings up a question, who spends money like this and cashes out before midnight IN vegas no less? Who live like dis? Well if you follow the link of the image located here http://twitpic.com/4wqv5j some have claimed it to be fake, some still say its real but I guess you have to come to your own conclusion yourself. Either way if it is real, thats one party I wouldn’t have minded being at....

Adtech San Francisco and the Heavyt Recap.

Adtech San Francisco and the Heavyt Recap.

So as I type this I’m in vegas sitting in a hotel room grinding away relaxing after adtech. This years adtech went pretty well. i feel I made more connections and did more business this adtech than any other I had been to. Surprisingly tho my only gripe at the show was that it was two floors and over half the people I talked to didn’t know there was a second floor. I flew into san fran on sunday and got in around 3pm. I headed over to the clift where I was staying and was immediately greeted by a couple of my friends who didn’t even give me a chance to shower before we went out for drinks. We walked down the street to the daily grill, which had amazing food by the way, and talked for a bit and had an appetizer or two in order to fill my stomach. Afterwards I had a dinner meeting with Lead Cola and a couple other affs. I must say for the next couple hours it was non stop fun, laughing, jokes, and good talk. I never seen so many people have such a good time at a dinner. My impressions of Lead Cola and the people who work there were thoroughly changed. I know alot of people have given them shit about their name but after getting to know them on a one on one basis I’ll be working with them in the future for sure. I read alot of stuff about them on affiliatepaying but what stuck out the most about the reviews were the pay schedules and was payouts, I’ve never known a company to give the highest payouts right away but these guys all you gotta do is ask. Everyone is really streated off the bat and people talking about getting 5 or 6 leads and complaining about payment schedule I’m sure people can be put on weekly wires if they do some volume. I wanted to thank Lead Cola for inviting me to the dinner and paying for the 80 some shots of patron we all had lol. After the dinner the affs and Lead Cola crew along with me...

So one of the companies I’ve been doing some work with had been doing a really good job. Anyone that has dealt with me knows I expect the best and nothing less. I can be a little demanding and I can be cocky as well on a daily basis. If you are offering a service I expect the very best, and I better see it. One thing is this never goes unnoticed by me. This company has been doing a great job, always gets back to me promptly, and in addition I can reach my reps after hours on their cell phones. This as I’ve discussed in previous posts builds a relationship between you and the individuals representing the company. These are the relationships I want to build upon and grow, these are the relationships I want to keep. So in appreciation I decided to buy the whole team that goes anywhere near my account lunch. Granted they live in another state and I might never get to see them, but they know me now, they understand I appreciate what they are doing, and I want them to continue to do a good job. This is a gesture of gratitude for their work and I highly appreciate everything they did for me and will continue to do for me. I didn’t have to do it but I wanted to. The response I got from my rep couldn’t have shown me any more thanks for what I did this april fools afternoon. The pizza party went off without a hitch.  At various times throughout the luncheon, statements could be heard across the office, “EDK is awesome!” and “Blow up that EDK volume!”  30 minutes and 2 belt notches later I looked around and saw satisfied buyers proving the age old theory that a well-fed publisher rep is a happy publisher rep.  Kudos to you sir and thank you for thinking of the people who work hard every day with little praise. No, thank...

Salt Lake City Utah, one stop shop for everything from call centers to fullfillment centers.

So a week ago I stopped in Denver Colorado for a bit to take care of some things and then headed over to Salt Lake City Utah. My original plans were to stay for the weekend and then head out a week later for the A4D meetup. Immediately upon arriving in SLC was picked up at the airport in CLS and headed out for lunch at this awesome seafood place. The views of the mountains in SLC were just majesic, I couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was out there. After lunch I had some meetings with some people that I took care of and proceeded to go shopping for some new dress shoes since I forgot mine and we were going out partying that night. Let me tell you that party that night we went to The Hotel Elevate in SLC and rocked it till we shut it down. We got picked up in a stretch limo and rolled 20 people deep into that club. The night started slow but as the crowd poured into the place and with 5 places that were spinning music with people dancing this place was on point. With multiple bottles across 4 tables int eh vip and smoking hookah all night I had the most fun time I had in a while. At the party and over the weekend I met some awesome people and got contact for some things I have in the works here soon. being able to see where SLC can be a one stop shop from fulfillment to call centers to people doing up sells and coaching packages there is no stone left unturned when you have a product as an advertiser. As Monday came I decided I needed to stay longer and changed my flight plans till the end of the week. The meetings i had during the week went well and it all came to a head on thursday night when we hit up the circle lounge. The tables at circle are huge and we had two of the largest. I’ve noticed that smoking hookah at clubs is a big thing in slc, some of the best clubs there have it and...

ASW11 Recap, yeah I know its late but I been busy….

I decided to fly in a couple days early to Vegas. I typically like to fly in early to shows and fly out a day or two after. Flying in on friday night. The day started off sucking because of the weather on the east coast and the snow storm that friday delayed my plane for 6 hours. basically instead of getting into vegas around 10am we got in around 7pm. My parents flew in from hawaii and picked me up from the airport and we headed to the hotel. I got a great deal on the hotel at the mirage and stayed for 6 nights for under 500 bucks, I love how I can find deals like that. Friday night I ended up catching the Love show and it was absolutely amazing, there is so much going on that I want to see it again. They said that if you saw it 10 times in a row there would still be new things that you hadn’t see before. My most favorite part was the little tricycles and the yellow boots. After the love show Justin from ECM and a couple other firends met at the house of blues and we grabbed something to eat. After we talked a bit and everyone running off every 10 mins for a smoke break decided to call it a night and head to bed. On Saturday we all went out for dim sum for lunch at one of the best dim sum places in Vegas, the spread was nice and the food was pretty spot on for chinatown in nyc. After lunch we decided to have a little fun and head to pole position right next to palms place. We ended up racing a couple laps and had a great time, those things are so damn fast for electric karts. Later on Saturday we ended up going to see phantom, I loved the movie and I loved the Broadway Show. The Phantom did a good job of capturing the essence of the full show in the short amount of time. Sunday I got up early to go and get my badge and hooked up with Pheonix Morgan,...
